This notice explains how personal information is used when you enter the Incredible Dog Shower Grand Designs Live 2026 prize draw and when you choose to receive marketing from Incredible Dog Shower and/or Barkin & Meowson.
Who is collecting your information?
Incredible Dog Shower Ltd (“IDS”), company number 16559039, registered at Springside Farm, Springside Road, Walmersley, Bury, England, BL9 5QU, is responsible for collecting and administering competition entries. Barkin & Meowson is the prize partner.
What information do we collect?
When you enter, IDS collects your first name, last name, email address, entry date/time and your separate marketing choices for IDS and Barkin & Meowson. IDS also records information needed to evidence consent, such as the source of the entry and the version of the consent wording shown.
Why do we use it?
IDS uses entry information to administer the prize draw, validate entries, select and contact winners, issue prizes, deal with queries and keep an appropriate record of the promotion. Where you actively opt in to marketing, the relevant brand will also use your name and email address to send the email marketing described beside that opt-in.
Our lawful bases
IDS processes the personal information needed to administer and fulfil the prize draw on an appropriate lawful basis under UK data protection law. For optional email marketing, the relevant organisation relies on your consent. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time without affecting your competition entry.
Who do we share your information with?
IDS may use service providers that support the competition page, secure data storage, email or website operation. They should only process information under appropriate contractual and security arrangements. IDS will not give Barkin & Meowson the full competition entrant list. If you tick the Barkin & Meowson marketing box, IDS will share your first name, email address and relevant consent record with the Barkin & Meowson business responsible for that marketing so it can send the marketing you requested. If you win, IDS may also share the minimum information needed with Barkin & Meowson to issue your voucher, whether or not you opted in to marketing.
How long do we keep it?
IDS will keep non-marketing competition entry records only for as long as reasonably necessary to administer the draw, fulfil prizes and deal with queries or regulatory requirements. IDS proposes retaining competition records for six months after all prizes have been fulfilled, unless there is a legal or regulatory reason to keep particular records longer. Marketing records may be retained while the relevant consent remains valid and as needed to maintain suppression/unsubscribe records.
Your marketing choices
The IDS and Barkin & Meowson marketing boxes are optional, separate and unticked by default. You can enter the competition without choosing either. If you opt in, you can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in marketing emails or by contacting the relevant organisation.
International transfers
Some website, email, cloud or analytics providers may process personal information outside the UK. Where this happens, the relevant controller should ensure an appropriate UK data-transfer mechanism or other lawful safeguard is in place.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, portability, or to object to certain processing. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
